Westgate employees put children and families first
Across the nation, Westgate Resorts employees take great pride in giving back to the community. That’s especially true when it comes to taking care of children and families in need.
Recently, a team of Westgate employees led by Bobby Fusik and the in-house sales reps provided a very special December Birthday and Holiday Party at the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida. The Westgate employees provided all of the party supplies as well as gifts.
In all, this extensive and heartfelt effort provided an extra special day for more than 50 children currently living in the shelter.
The mission of the Coalition of the Homeless is to address the needs of the homeless in the Central Florida community and to serve as a catalyst for community collaboration to end homelessness.
The Coalition helps more than 750 people each day, including men, women and children. As one of the few emergency shelters that accept intact families in Central Florida, on any given night, the Coalition provides services to more than 250 children, with a current average age of 8 years old.
Last year, the Coalition served more than 300,000 meals to Central Florida families.
