MANRRS Conference Showcases Careers in Science and Agriculture
Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS) is a national non-profit organization whose primary goal is to promote participation in agricultural and related science careers among ethnic and racial minorities. Networking, mentorship, leadership development, communication and organizational skill advancement are all part of the opportunities that MANRRS provides for its members.
The Minority Business Development department attended the 29th Annual MANRRS Career Fair & Training Conference from March 27-29 in Birmingham, Alabama. This conference is attended by students and professionals with concentrations in agriculture, animal science, horticulture, chemistry, and other related sciences.
Representatives from the Walt Disney World Animal, Science, and Environment department participated in the career fair, engaging with students interested in Professional Internships. Disney leaders hosted “Influencing Organizational Culture Disney Style!”, a professional development workshop targeted to undergraduate and graduate students, and focused on leadership and the ability to influence and energize others.
