Artistic Programs Receive Disney Support
For their support of children’s art and creativity, three Central Florida arts programs recently received $15,000 from Walt Disney Imagineering.
The Osceola Center for the Arts, Howard Middle School Academy for the Visual and Performing Arts and Central Florida Community Arts were chosen for their exceptional work in fostering creativity, supporting storytelling and promoting aspirational careers in creative disciplines. “This grant gives us resources for ourcreative needs,” said Joshua Vickery, a Disney Cast Member who is also executive director of Central Florida Community Arts. “I’m proud to work for a company that supports a non-profit that I put so much of myself into.” The donations will be used to purchase new lighting and audio equipment and other theater essentials.
